Folks. Here is a little bit of info that was even the law in 1932. Illegal contracts are VOID and UNENFORCEABLE. Just so anybody thinks I am talking nonsense here is the law McMullen v Hoffman 174 U.S. 639 654 . This law way back then recognized the common law principle that a court will not enforce illegal contracts. If payday lending is prohibited in your state they are doing ILLEGAL contracts. I have palisades on my credit report for A T&T for $95.00. I did order the cell phone but A T&T told me that I had 14 days to return it. I never used the phone. I disputed it with TransUnion. It came back as vetified. what exactly does that mean? I told palisades that I returned the phone without using it and they told me if I did'nt owe it they would not be calling me. What does that mean? I am applying for a mortgage and I need to get this off my report. Should I just pay it off and then dispute it?

I just have one question, can you provide me with the total amount of Finance Charges ($90) that I have paid dating back to the date of when I initially received the loan. Has anyone heard or had any experiences with the new "identity guards" I've heard radio commercials for? It's like an identity theft insurance policy. They say they make it so absolutly no one can open accounts in your name but you, and they say they back it up with up to $1,000,000 if someone steals your identity. I'm interested in hearing if anyone has tried this or knows anything else about it. It sounds like a great idea, but if there's some fullproof way of keeping your identity safe, shouldn't it be made public so everyone can protect themselves?

Me and my wife had to get a PDL with Check N go when our hours were getting cut.Well time came and pass and we could not even paid that no more.We stop payment on the checks.The calls start to come in then they even came to our Job and asking for the money!!!!They finally stop then a month later they debit our banking account for $345!!!We were mad!!!So the next morning we went to the bank and they helped us out big time and our money was put back in 3 hours!!And they put a "lock" on our account if they would try to do it again.The Bank Manger said that she will be very happy when this state m

I contacted T&C today and they said I was approved to consolidate the loans I gave them which was my internet loans, I had forgotten about my store front ones which are actually going to be due, unless I want to start a payment plan set up by the state of michigan.

I've been paying $60 in interest every two weeks when i get paid for about 5 months now since I haven't been able to get out of this payday loan trap and just pay it off. Now how does that work with the michigan law?

Wow, tomorrow is the Goo Goo Dolls concert in Fort Wayne. I can't believe it is time already. I'm so nervous about meeting the band but excited at the same time. People said the meet & greets go really quickly so just be yourself. I've heard they are down to earth guys so there shouldn't be a problem. I'm giving them drawings from nieces :) They don't have an opening act so maybe they will play longer :P
