School says that 2 years ago, I was overpaid in student aid.I requested debt validation and they sent me a list of charges. One of the charges listed was for Direct unsub and sub. loan. Neither one of these charges are shown on the national student loan data systems for students nor on the loan service site (nelnet). I asked where the charges come from and I have yet to receive a solid answer. As a matter of fact, I have received 3 different answers. I pay any debts that I come to owe, but I refuse to pay anything that I do not owe.

If this debt is legtimate it was written off more than twenty five years ago and repurchased by this company. What are my rights on a debt that I can't remember and that has past the statute of experation? I will no give them payment and will insist on a written copy from them. They say that the date was 1996 but this debt would have been in the late eighties if it what I am thinking about. They say it was for $3,000.00 and I have never had debt of that size.

Does anyone know if you have court papers from a judge stating you are not liable for a debt, does that solve the debt problem and hold the other party responsible?

My longtime girlfriend has a us airways mastercard it was originally at 10.50 percent interest. She had setup an autopay with them and it was magically botched on their end according to our bank. And that this was somewhat common. However the net result was she was 4 days late on payment and suddenly was given the default interest rate of 29.99 percent. I don't know about most people but i consider this usery. How do we approach mastercard considering they will not budge on this issue?

Was wondering as upon loosing job and falling behind on CC payments for a purchase of an AC unit, the CC is from wells fargo and they have since passed the debt onto admin recovery who says they are permitted by law to come take the AC unit purchased with the CC. and we are being told mixed answers, anyone help? this is a VISA which was applied for.
