I have been working on a account with Valentine & Kebartas since Jan 22. My Dell account was charged off on Jan 2nd and they sent it to them. I set up payments with them for $1000.00 and made the payments. I had another one scheduled for this week and had to call and cancle it . Now they have called me at work when I have told them not to call me at work. They told me since I was not goting to work with them on this that they were going to send in the legal paper work and file the affadavits for my arrest and that if I did not send the $3000 right now this will happen today.

i got into a lot of debt by the age of 18. now is that i started realizing how important your credit needs to be to make moves in life. i have 3 credit cards maxed out and unpaid, medical insurance, student loans. debt collectors wont stop calling....

I recently responded to a debt collectors lawsuit in my county. I told them I didn't know about the debt or how much I owed. A few weeks later I got a letter from my states mediation office saying that the debt collector and I will have to mediate before going before a judge. That will not be until August 2007. I just viewed my credit report online today and noticed that the date of last activity with the original creditor was 7/2003. Does that mean the sol runs out as of 7/2007? It's 4 yrs here in my state of Georgia.
