Hi everyone I just wanted to have a question clarified again if possible. Ive been reading back posts from 2007 and now am confused. In the State of NJ pdl's are illegal prohibited. I borrowed from western sky, which is tribal and illegal. Western Sky immediately sold my illegal loan to Cash Call who is now acting as the provider. This loan is not a pdl but an installment loan, correct? However its illegal, correct? Im confused. If its an installment loan why is it illegal? I just want to clarify before I speak to them so I know what Im talking about. Thanks

If the credit card company was willing to settle for less than you owe say 50% less but have since turned it over to a collection agency would the collection agency also settle for 50% possibly less?

hi I was contacted by one of your representatives about 2 weeks ago and gave her all of my information concerning my 4 pay day loans of which I can only afford to pay the interest every payday. they run my approx $400.00 and I wanted to work with your company to cut the cost in half. However nothing has been done and now the 4 accounts have come out of my account again. these companies have been charged interested and would of technically been paid off but i can not do this so please help me asap so that i can change bank accounts:(

I sent the below letter to Fresh Start Pay on 8/16/12, and they are continually calling me, which is fine, but now they're telling me that I need to have my attorney contact them or send them a power of attorney as they are going to continue to collect on the debt that is owed to them.

This morning i receive a phone call from a lady claiming she is with the a process server and she needs to set up a meeting place so she can serve me papers because i am being sued, I ask her who was serving me and she said I should know and if I did not then to call 1-888-318-7402 that this is ACS litigation and they would discuss this with me. Does anyone know if they are ligit, should i call or what??????

I received this email Friday i have no idea who this is nor have I ever taken out a payday loan with them can anyone tell me anything about this? This e-mail is in reference to your account with Advance Cash Expert. This account has been referred to my office for collection action. We are a Legal Attorney based in Michigan and New York. As per the client you are currently several payments behind on this pay-day loan account.

I live in Reno, NV and I think I really screwed up this time. I took out a $10,000.00 loan with Western Sky at 89% interest. 89%!! What in the world was I thinking?! All I could think about was how desperate I felt at the time. All I needed was $3000 to pay off another debt that I was four payments behind on but the rep at Western Sky convinced me to take the $10,000 loan and pay back $7000 right away (no penalties for early pay off) and I should have the rest paid back in just a few months as long as I pay the minimum of $743.49 a month.
