I know that you can send a C & D letter to a CA but if you start dealing with and paying the original creditor then can the CA report to your CR that you aren't paying? Does that make any sense?

Has anyone else been scammed by this company? I terminated services with them and did not receive a refund. Instead, I Just got a bill for $927 from them! What can I do????

To whom it may concern, I was married to a women who did not help with the bill payments. She helped make the money. She just didn't help pay the bills that needed to get paid. I am in the military and when I moved from one state to another I asked her to pay the last months bills in each state. There are now 13 collections on my credit report from the bills she did not pay. I am just trying to get someone who can help me by giving me a consolidation loan to pay the bills.

Recently, I have suffered from a condition that is putting me out of work. I am trying to start my own home business to supplement income, but we are now running into alot of trouble with just one income. Due to medical bills, groceries, and other bills our credit card and loan amounts have become about $60,000 in all debts including vehicle, GE Loan, and credit cards. Is there any help for us with the debt settlement? We are now paying in about $1200 dollars a month for this debt and we are now falling behind and having to use our credit cards to pay for other monthly bills.

Stupid question but you always hear people say that "I'll pay $10 a month for the rest of my life to those people". Can you really do that? I know CA have regulations that they have to follow, not always doing so, but there has to be a minimum payment they would take. Also if you are making that $10 a month can they do anything else to you? I mean you are trying to make good on the debt even though it will take you 40 years to pay something off.

When I was a kid my parents did nothing to teach me about budgeting we were well off until I was about 12 then suddenly we were bankrupt my parents got back on their feet but I have been working since I was 13 or so I do have some issues that may contribute to my debt like drug abuse and the like but I have always been employed and just cannot get out of mounting medical bills over 41,000 I have amassed in about 10 years
