These guys called me today at work and told me I had until 4:00 Pm Today to pay this off or they were going to procecute me for writing a bad check on a post dated check. Said if I did not pay them I would have to suffer the embarassment of them calling my boss and taking it out of my pay. I tried to look up the company and all I found was your sight. I called to get there address and sure enough they refused to give me an address and said they do not have a website at this time.

I received a called from a lady by the name of Sabrina Prescott telling me that this is an extremely urgent matter and to have me call back asap or my attorney 877-403-0003. She did not tell me where she's calling from or what company she's with. End of the message she says, "good luck". I called the number and it was a message saying, "Our mail box is full please try again later" The second time i called, someone picked up and just said his name and how can i help you...without stating what company he is with. I hung up. Can someone please explain what is going on?

I have CA that I have disputed their bill, haven;t heard back yet, but yesterday they have left a message on my machine asking for my son to call them back. He was 16 at the time of this medical issue, and is 19 now. I just don't want them to ruin his credit or get him involved. (you know the Mom claws are out) Is there anything I can do? Can they actually try this? Ok, just got a phone call on my cell phone. Normally do not answer it when it shows "unknown" number, but figured it might be from on of the people we have PDL's with, and I was ready for them too! Anyway, I said hello and all I could hear was breathing and the what sounded like someone typing. Said hello again and no answer, just the sound of breathing and typing and then they hung up. Have no idea what that was all about. Anyone else have this happen?

I have sent a letter of dispute, but in the meantime, the collection agency for a medical debt calls and leaves messages for my son to call them back - who is now 19 but was 16 at the time - can they do this? do I have any other recourse for that? the agency is RAB,Inc.

I have been getting repeated, annoying calls from 678-228-3415. The Caller ID says "Focus Receivables" in the Atlanta area. They are DirecTV dogs, seeked on customers that have cancelled their accounts with DirecTV, when DirecTV has no legitimate claim against those customers or DirectTV finds that it is more economical for them to have Focus Receivables harass a customer into paying dubious charges, rather than to have their own high paid internal folks discuss matters that will not be resolved in DirecTV’s favor because they know they have permanently lost the customer.

I have also been receiving these phone calls from Academy Services. They think that I am Michael Licudine, whoever that is. I looked up Michael Licudine on the internet and the only one I could find was a 16 year old boy that had died in 2005. It seems like alot of these people that Academy is trying to call are dead. Anyway, they have called me at several different numbers, but the most frequent one is 1-800-220-0605. They tell that it is regarding an account that I have with Academy Services and it's urgent that I return their call.
