I have been receiving letters from asset acceptance llc about a debt I owed originally to Citibank. I was about to pay it off when a bell went off in my head, and I started searching the internet. I found this site, and I hope someone can help me out. I want to pay this debt off, but from what I see here, I think this company is on the shady side of the business. Thanks for any help! Eric

I have a charge on my credit report for VISA/DSNB at 911 Duke Blvd. Mason, OH 45040. You can't see the last four digits of card number, and I don't have a card with the first 12 numbers in my possession. There is no phone number to check on this charge or card. What options do I have? I can't even dispute the charge.

Should the debt settlers pay some to the creditors each month to keep them from sueing you? Why should a company say they will not pay the creditors for 6 months to a year? It seems to me this could ruin you.

I am in the process of paying back a payday loan. The origional loan was for 300.00 I paid $ 58.50- 12/1/06 I paid $ 75.00 - 1/31/07 My question the total payback was 526.50 My remaining balance is 451.50. Does this sound right? I have spoken to a Lisa Ray from this company. I feel that I may be OVER paying? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi, Tax time is here and I have several Credit Cards that I want to pay off in full. Instead of sending checks to all of them, Is it possible if you's can put all the balances together and make it just one ful Payment for me all at once? That would be the route I am trying to go. I am going to keep the 2 highest balance cards and pay them ohalf way off. I have about 4-5 cards I want to pay off in full. Please respond to this a.s.a.p.

Hello, I am not deliquent on my accounts, however, I am sinking fast. I have heard so many horror stories about consumer credit counseling services I am scared to death to do it. I spoke to an agency the other day and I told them my total debt. and what I could send each month and they told me how many months it would take to pay it off and that the money I sent in would be put into an account until I reached the total amount owed to all creditors plus their fee of course and in the meantime you just quit paying your bills...this sounds insane to me!

I have a judgement filed against me for 4 x the original amount of the credit card debt.What happened was that my income was cut in 1/2 after the birth of my son over 6 years ago and whehn I got behind,the cc agency refused to accept any of my offers of repayment. They wanted me to promise them money I didn't have and then harrassed me for years over it. Do I get an attorney ?
