Just got off the phone with Jerry from the State of Oklahoma Department of Consumer Credit regarding Rio Resources. As I had stated in my other posts, I'm from New York and I do have a current loan with Rio Resources and I wanted to actually talk to somebody who is familiar with this situation. I have been trying to pay off my defaulted student with allied interstate. But when I ask to get the amount due sent to me in writing, they inform me that they can not without my bank account number to set up a payment plan. This is crazy. I would pay it off if they sent a bill. Any help.

:D hello, my name is tom and i thought that i should get ride of all this credit card debt. its not a hole lot, but im a student and would like to improve my credit score by eliminating the amount of debt i have vs. the amount of credit i have been given. to make one payment on all of these cards (only 5 cards) would be nice.

I have credit card debt around $40,000 with many craditors HSBC, Capital One, American Express, Chase, Bank of America, and the biggest one with Citi Bank about $11,000 most of them have high interest rate around 27-32% apr. I am seeking for a craditor who can lend me some amount of money with a lower rate to pay off some of debt with these creditors. Please let me know if you can help mer out with this. I am a trustable person. I've been paying this debt with very high rate for almost two years...Thank you

I'v been sitting at my desk reading over 100 postings, going to every website marked here (which are wonderful) and also going to every NYS website. I cannot find a definitive answer. Here's my question. I live in New York State. I have 5 outstanding loans with PDL companies that are NOT in New York State. IS IT ILLEGAL FOR THESE COMPANIES TO GIVE ME A LOAN? Thanks again!!!

how would i go about writing a debt validation letter? any one have link of sample letter? and how long after receiving a summons do i have to send one?

ok so yesterday i got served with papers to appear in court on feb 16th 2007 for a collection agency by the name of asset acceptance llc... they are saying i owe the original creditor providian $2200 plus $1900 in interest.. what can i do? has the SOL statue of limitations expired for florida.. it says the charge off date was 2-8-02.. also my credit report has been saying consumer deceased in the providian boxes---can they legally do that?
