I have emailed them a settlement letter since i have overpaid a $450 loan 830.00 thus far in interest. I emailed them friday but have not heard back from them. Has any one dealt with this company before with a settlement and if so, how did you make out? I reemailed the letter to them demanding a confirmation of this email and to close my account. I tried doing search here and online and to no avail. Just curious when i will hear from them and hopefully i can put this behind me and move on. On Monday i plan on submitting a complaint with the MASS General Attorney's office.

Palisades collection apear on my credit report every three are four years disappear and come back. Palisades says they got my account from Heilimeyers. I talk with Heilimeyers and they say my account with them have been closed for over 7 years. Palisades is talking about a account that was just made, but i didnt just open up an account in over 7 years. This is not a refusal to pay, but i am requesting validation. I am just ready to remove them from my credit report. See if u can make a settlement with them between 70%-90% of the total and have the collection remove from my credit report.

I posted several days ago about how MTE sent me a settlement offer via e-mail. You guys told me about the cease and desist order, so I just thought I would share the response letter I sent to Rio and a few other places you will see in the cc notes on the bottom. I will keep you guys updated on their response.
