DON'T sign up with HK Hess. They took my money and didn't do ANYTHING that they said they would do. They didn't contact any of my creditors and when they started calling me, I was told I had to give them the information. What am I paying HK for then? I signed up with them last year and cancelled my service after they didn't do anything for me and I still have not received my money back. I was not behind on any of my credit cards, just way in over my head. Now I'm 5 months behind, have excessive over the limit fees and late fees. I now owe even more than I did when I signed up with HK.

Okay, so i have been on a roll today with the questions. I signed up with a debt consolidator in Wash. DC, will see how that goes. Thanks to those who made recommendations. Now i need to find someone who will allow PayDay loan settlement or concolidation. Anyone know of any legitimate ones? Steelers? Anyone? If you ask a collection agency to stop calling and they continue on a daily basis a couple times a day, and everytime you tell them not to call again, and that the person(spouse, friend, etc.) doesn't live here anymore, and they continue to call, what can you do.

Jonathan Foster call me about 8am stating he was an arbitrator. He informed me that my debt had jumbed from 10K to 17K but he would settle for 12.5K. When i I contacted my debt settlement Agency the real debt was 10.5K. Jonathan stated he was going to freeze my home equity loan and make it hard for my wife to renew her nurses license. He is not an anarbitrator just a mear strong arm bill collector.Before you deal with these THUGS make sure you contact your debt settlement agent. These guys will use scare tacts to get you to pay more than you must.

I'm in a state of limbo. Not sure what bills to pay, as a result, behind in bills. My wife and I work different hours. So we have no time to actually sit down and decide what need to get paid. Subsequently, we deal with the essentials(food, mortgage, car repairs, etc...) Please help us!!!

I live in MO and have student loans which I have consolidated. I had been on a deferment because I was on State aid, but now that I am married the loan is in repayment. They want like $300 a month which I can't afford. I am a stay at home mom with no income currently. Can they sue my husband for this debt? The hardship forms they sent for me to fill out ask for his info which I/we do not want to give. Also they are trying to charge me $5,000 in collection fees. Is that ok or can I dispute that fee? I know these are a lot of questions but I do not want to proceed the wrong way.

I have tried to close my bank account due to IPDL's billing me even though I am working with an debt management company. The bank has refused to close my account or freeze it and continues to let charges hit, NSF's them and then hits me with the charge. Does anyone have a phone number for any of these PayDay loan companies? I am trying to payoff and cant find there numbers anywhere!!! Please help if you can. Thanks and have a good day - Jim
