I guaranteed a mortgage refinance for my parents. They eventually were unable to make the payments and have now decided to file for bankruptcy. I have had a decrease in income since they refinanced and cannot afford the payments myself either. they were told that if they file for bankruptcy my credit will no longer be impacted by the foreclosure and their non-payment of the mortgage. The mortgage delinquency already shows on my credit report and I'm not confident that the advice they are getting about how their filing for bankruptcy will impact my credit is correct.

i got a call from 423-274-3468 stating that i owe my paydayloan.com 390 dollars from a loan i took out in 2011. i didn take the loan out but they had my name addresse amd social sercuirty number. they stated they if i didnt pay they were going to take legal action against me. they wouldnt tell me when i took the loan only 2011. couldnt give me the month day or anything. what can i do

i was told that the credit card refused to except veterans disablity so they decreased the credit card limit make it over the limit so I owe a scamed amount and they told everyone that we are a credit risk. I know what they did is not legal. Should We sue.

I had some illegal internet loans that I am in the process of dealing with. As many others have done, I wrote emails to the illegal loan companies, placed a hard hold on my bank account and planned on closing it. Wells Fargo is not letting me close the account because I have something called a Direct Deposit advance with them for $500. If you're not familiar with what that is, it's basically payday advances that Wells Fargo does (they deduct the loan principal and "fee" from each direct deposit that goes into the account).

I have a few payday loans outstanding. I live in Tennessee. A couple of them do have wage assignments. I have gotten myself into a pickle. Can they garnish my wages? What can I do to stop all of the madness...their bi-weekly payments are killing me...thought I could do it, but I just can't. I do want to pay them, just can't like they are having me do. Please advise. They are with Ameriloan Zip 19 Great Plains Lending and one more that I have no clue who it is - it says Government Emp Lending company or something like that. Please help...Im at the end of my rope!

Anyone know who this company is? They have been calling my parents and my former boss.The number they left produces one entry (888-902-8194) and the same gets me a realty company in California. When I call, they want personal info in order to discuss anything with me, and that's not happening.

Hello, I am a resident of PA and I defaulted on my student loans. I received a wage garnishment notice and they garnished my tax returns last year. Now PHEAA has sold the loan to a collection agency. My question is: Does the collection agency have the right to garnish my wages if I work in Pennsylvania or Delaware?
