allied interstate sent me nasty letter, dated 12/18, received 1/2/07, claiming $27.21 I owe Sprint! Twelve calls later, including 4 to their customer service, resulted in my finally talking to Sprint, only to find out that my only bill of $16.55 had been paid in full June 1, 20006. They are trying to collect on a debt w/a residential number I had from 2001-2004! What to do? They threaten to report it to two credit agencies! Thank you, Margrit R. Does anyone know how I find out when "I" made the last payment on an account? I'm dealing with Weltman on a Sears account. According to my credit report, it says that last payment was August 2005. I know for a fact that is not true. Would I contact Sears and ask for when the last payment was made on the account? Also I think a few years ago, before I got smart on dealing with CA's and long before 2005, we may have made some payments on this account to a collection agency. How do I find that out? I know that it will reset the SOL on the account if we did make a payment.
