Received a letter on Dec. 28, 2006 in an attempt to collect $6,377.09 from a First Union Visa card dating back to 1997. This debt was paid and considered closed after an agreed settlement by myself and First Union Card. My debt $3,400 and I offered to pay $3,000 by check that day. The offered was accepted and confirmed and the account would be considered paid and closed. I have no documentation to show for. But I never received another statement from them so I left it alone (I know). Now I get this letter. What to do, thank you Monica Perez

They are also calling and harrasing me saying they are sending the law to my job and charging me with internet fraud. is this legal?

I would like to call CPC to make a payment over the phone and I do not know how to contact a person to do this. I do not have any checks so I could not mail in my payment this month. The payment would go to Hicksville, NY normally.

asset acceptance llc just sent me a collections letter advising me that I owe 6,377.09 on an old First Union Visa account dating back to 1997 in the state of GA. This is incorrect due to the fact that in Nov. of '97 First Union Visa and myself came to a settlement that would consider the account paid and closed.

Hi, i left a comment earlier BUT wanted to know.... I live in DC and i have borrowed loans from. Check N Go Ace Totaling 1500.00, i have been good with going in to make my Finance Charges BUT recently have been falling into crunches since i spend $215.00 every two weeks. Does anyone know if i offered to start making payment arrangements if that is acceptable. I dont want to be sued by them although i go in to the stores to make my finance charges and they apear nice. Does anyone know the DC payday Advance laws?

Anyone every heard of this Payday loan company, i applied and was approved, i am awaiting a call back from them to verify the loan.... Also, what happens typically if you cant pay back a loan. Do you make arrangements etc? Do they allow that?
