After the first call that i made to stephanie i had called back and added a few more things. What do i need to do?

I need to pay off my student loans which are significant. I don't see how I can pay them off in my lifetime. I am living in Japan trying to make enough money to pay them off. The Education Department refuses to forgive a portion of my loans for volunteer service I did and for teaching in low-income schools. I need help. I would like more information about debt settlement. Can I settle with them? How? I do not want to spend the rest of my life making payments. How can I do this? Can you help? Please email me with any information. Thank you.

I recieved my free cccredit report and an entry for this company is on it, i have no idea what it is for ,we have been in a financial situation for a few years and have been paying credit cards off as we can and i have bad credit ......but......i have 2 cards to go and honestly have no idea what this is for and there is collateral says 12 ge capital....i closed all of the accounts that i had and this one is still open i dont think it is mine....how do i go about fixing this?

This is my suggestion on how to handle creditors calling. Creditors start calling when you have defaulted in your payments. Their calls start increasing when they realize you are showing no interest in paying the debts. No one wants to keep their debts hanging over their head. It happens when one has some financial problems or other serious reasons for not paying the debts. I don't think anyone likes to see their debts with added interests and fees. Call your creditors before your debts become delinquent. They want to hear you say your problems.

Ok, I have been in this forum for sometime and been reading a lot about the collectors and their scary tactics. Today being holiday, I am glued in front of my computer and want to share some tips on how to deal with collectors. Suppose, you are getting harassing calls from the debt collector and there is little money you can afford at this moment. He is no way willing to work with you. Offer him the lump sum amount and your debt will be cut into half. Offer a monthly payment that doesn't strain your pocket and without compromising with other vital expenses like food, utilities, rent etc.
