Can a IPDL company garnish your check if PDL are illegal in your state??

Has anyone filed Chapter 13 bankruptcy? What do they do? I understand you only make one payment, but do you get to keep your house, car, etc.?

Dear Caring People, Wow, what an amazing site. Here's my situation: I've been getting computer-generated calls from allied interstate for a few weeks now--sometimes 2-3 messages per day. Today was the first day that the message specified that they are trying to collect a debt. Fortunately, I had already Googled them, and thus came upon all your excellent information. Today, I requested and received online my current credit reports from all 3 major agencies through the official website for free annual reports. Allied Interstate is not listed as holding any of my debt.

I know that TenDollar Payday Loans and Rio Resources are the same company, but does anyone know if Instant Cash USA is the same as TDPDL and Rio?

i am recently divorced and the separation and moving back to california from missouri through me for a loop in makin my payments to my credit cards, plus i have some things on my credit report from before i got married. i would really like to get all these things taken care of, so i can start over with a clean slate. the two credit cards that i have or had better yet are now in collections at two different law offices, and i have some bad checks written. i dont know what is right for me, i am looking at possible filing bankruptcy.....any help would be greatly appreciated.

On December 8th 2005 I went to the hospital in an ambulance. The hospital, doctors, and radiology all got paid by my insurance. The ambulance service claims they did not for whatever reason receive my insurance information. I never heard from them requesting the information via letter or phone. I now owe 601.00 to BAY AREA CREDIT SERVIC for the ambulance ride.

I'm in California I have 4 loans out and one I took out Dec 4th with CTC. I cant pay anymore bills and I have decided to file for BK. My attorney says to close my checking account and that the BK will cover all of my PDL's. However I'm seeing people who are having their payroll depts contacted. My question is that is the BK truly covering the PDLs and should I contact my payroll dept? Also will they get my new bank account number and take money from that? Thanks Jeff

Don't make sensitive decisions when you are hurt. Leave it on time. Try to get control on the things that are tempting and provoking you. Don't end the good things because of one bad moment. Pain will never last forever. Peace
