If your acct is sold or transferred, it is posted to your credit record-even if Bankrupt over 20 years, why cant they remove it immediately. Why do I have to a dispute thru credit bureau???

hello! looking for a little advice...I have read previous topics discussing illegal lenders and the letters to send them about amounts owed/paid. but I just want to make sure these lenders are actually illegal in my state before I send out the letters... I live in Indiana and have 3 pdl's from bayside cash, gentle breeze, and 500 fast cash...all online. Called me from 866-392-2292 and Mr. Foster gave a call back # 866-392-2352. I do not owe the debt but Mr. Foster was coercive and nasty. I finally gave last 4 of SS# to get rid of him and when I called back to make sure my phone # was removed, I was re-connected to him. He was very clear that lawyers wrote what was said on the phone and left on the message. He felt very comfortable being a bully and kept insisting that lawyers were supporting their efforts and it did not matter that I was not the person they were looking for.
