My name is Rick McClain, i recently been awared a Disabilit from the military for getting disable while on active duty in the United States Marine Corps. I owe child support to the county of los angeles, California. it took me 17 months to get this compensation. The award letter that i recieved stated the no one could attach these funds nor levy unless i owe the United States of A,merica. The child Support Services put a levy on my account and said basically to bad for me. Can anyone please tell me how to fix this.

:(My husband and I are in BIG trouble. Between the two of us, we have 9 payday loans outstanding. 4 of them are still active and the payments are deducted twice a month from out checking account. The payments are leaving us with nothing left and we cannot pay anything else, including rent. Please Please help

I am wanting some advise here, i sent the DV letter, got the confirmation yesterday. As for my next step once they verify the debt, Can I try to settle through letter or would it be best to call. this company has a bad rap for being very rude.

I am not paying back payday loan , still they can take money from account.

I received a collection notice from Northland Group on behalf of Capital One with a balance of over $6400. I have never had a Capital One cc with this type of balance. I spoke to Northland Group and they are stating that the account is mine....although I have no recollection of such account. Nor an account with a large balance such as this. The info they gave me states an account opened in 6/1996 and last payment in 4/2001. I tried to explain to the guy that this account is not mine and that even if it was it is past the statute of limitations for California.

I am trying to find the laws for internet PDL in the state of Louisiana. I had a loan with Easy Cash and I have paid well over the loaned amount and I needed to see what I could do to stop them for harrassing me for all the interest.

Asset Acceptance has applied a debt to my credit report that is not mine , it is my sons . We both have the same name and because they couldn't recover it from him they attached it to my credit , would not have known this but I applied for a car loan and they turned me down until I can clear this debt . Called the Lawyers Office that is now handling the collections , I guess Asset Acceptance gave up on it , and they told is it was under my sons birthdate not me but they couldn't help me clear it . Any suggestions ?
