Portfolio Recoveries has branched to Jackson. They start collecting as of tomorrow. They stated they will only do phone calls and send letters. They will call to collect between the hours of 8am and 10pm. I believe that is a fdcpa violation. They can't call after 9pm. In the newspaper they state that you can make 28,000 to 50,000 a year depending on how hard you collect. I will archive the paper and post the articles. I have a feeling this company will be trouble!

My husband received a phone call from Asset Acceptance this afternoon, giving the name of a collector and her phone number to call her back. Yes he does owe money and we are hoping to make complete repayments in the new year, however now it seems that Asset Acceptance is on our case about it too. What should we do.....call them, write them or ignore it until they call again! thanks!
