I have been on-and-off work for the past 5+ years after being laid off in May of 2001 from a good paying telecom job. I am educated, intelligent, multitalented and multilingual but somehow cannot find a job to save my life! I have two interest free mortages (1st mortgage=$2000/month fixed for 10 years (balance of $320k) & a home equity loan of $600/month with adjustable interest rate going up every month! (balance of $67k). I can't sell my house because the real estate market is practically dead. I am trying to rent the house but so far have been unsuccessful.

I live in maryland and have five payday loans that even thou I,ve paid every two weeks they say because I didnt have money this time I have defaulted on. What exactly can they do. I owe 200 to route 66, 300 to arrowhead,200 to appleloan and 1200 to cashtransfers. I want to pay what I owe but before I knew it I borrowed one to pay the other and now dont have the money to pay any of them. cashtransfer exspects the whole 1200 + finance which is over 1600 in one payment.

I am getting calls from Graham, Beagel and Associates about an old debt i have. I called The credit card company and they have no record of Graham working for them. What should I do?

Just want some info on a debt relief, would like to make one large payment instead of many small payments. i would also like to know the interest rates typically given to people. i have been turned down before from other banks because my debt is so high, not sure how to get a loan for about 25000. thanks

My questions are: If I choose to go with debt consolidation, does it hurt my credit score? I am still unclear how it works. Do they help me get my credit card debts paid off sooner, help with the high interest rates? What percentage do they charge?

I was just wondering if it is bad on your credit score of you consolidate your debt? I'v heard it is but I'd like to know how badly it effects it if thats the case. I'm able to work really hard and climb out of my hole but i'm very interested in the debt consolidation. I'm sure i'll find out more when i get the call but i'm so excited i thought i would ask. I got my letter from this John finn character and I thought who in the world is sending me this 7 page letter. My brother and I did some research and found out its a scam. I cant believe those ppl would scam an 85 year old man! I got that same letter today. They made me feel like i was special for like a couple of seconds. Then i realized that this John finn character supposedly has ALL the solutions to my problems; whether they were financial or based on relationships (Controlling any woman I desire). What kind of stuff is this?!!
