I signed up with a debt consolidation company a month ago. Since then I have been bombarded by phone calls and letters. I cant sleep worrying that Im going to be sued or that my bank accounts are going to be garnished. How do I go about canceling with the company and getting my money back? Also now that Im behind in all of my payments do you think the credit card companies will work with me to get them up to date? If anyone else has been thru this please please let me know how you handled it.

hi march 1 2012 i recieved a letter from mcm stating they purchased my debt on march 3 i sent a certified validation letter to them on march 15 i recieve a letter back stating i will be contacted by a customer service rep. now 5 moths later i recieve a bill i thought they only had a 30 day window to respond what should my next step be thanks in advance.

I would like to know why this is on and what options i have to resolve if it verifies of an account i am aware of

i have followed all the steps of the process, but I want to know how long I should expect it to be before getting a response from the lenders. Two lenders, one click cash and mobiloans, have not tried to take any more achs but they have not responded with any emails, and it has been a month. I am getting nervous about what is going on. I received a standard 1st class stamped letter today from Mark Walsh and Co. notifying me of a hearing that takes place in California in 2 weeks. I live on the east coast so a 2 week heads up and a $400 flight is not something I can deal with.

Hello all, I have about 8 credit cards with $40,000 debt. Last payment was about May or June of 2011. Got a settlement offer from American Express for $3,000+ on a $6,000 balance in June of 2012. Still couldn't afford to pay it off, and now I'm being sued by Zwicker for the full amount plus attorney fees. Was planning on saving up enough to pay off the $3,000 in a couple of months, does anyone know how to start settlement talks with AMEX while the lawsuit is still in the court? I want to be able to reach a payment plan with AMEX so Zwicker can drop the lawsuit.
