I was divorced 2 years ago and have not been able to recover financially . I currently owe approx. $19,000 on a car loan and have about $25,000 in credit card debt for which I am paying 30% interest. I am working 2 jobs but it is becoming difficult to make all monthly payments.

What is the correct info the company is supposed to give you to validate the debt. I sent a debt val ltr to Paragon Way. All it listed was the company & the amt. Don't they have to give more detailed info than that?

Which usually gets the lower payments, calling your creditors to try to arrange lower payments or joining a dmp?

Is it legal for an employer to take deductions out of your paycheck without reflecting them on your check stub?

I recieved a call today from this number and was told that if I didn't come up with half of the money, charges would be filed against me in the county I'm in for bank fraud. Is that even possible for internet pdls? The odd thing is that when I asked the "collector" to send me documentation in wrting, she said she was unable to until I paid on it.

I just got off the phone with AIP, I talked to the controller there, and she's marked my loan paid in full! And according to their records they say that I've only paid $89 on the $200 loan. My records show I've paid $267, but at this point I don't care. I'm just so happy to have them off my backs finally!!!! Persistance and research does pay off! One odd thing she said is that AIP only does the processing for Cash Transfer Centers . . . . She also wouldn't admit that they don't have a license in my state, but she said she would "take my word for it, since I've done research on it".

if you receive harrassment calls but do not see the number is restricted or private is that still considered harrassment phone calling if you cannot prove it?
