I am a single father of three children. I have them fulltime 24/7. I have sunk myself in payday loans and I feel that I have no option but to default. I am worried what could happen to me legaly. My credit couldnt get much worse but I am concerned about being arrested. I have 6 loans with variuos companies all done over the internet. I live in plano texas. I am in the process of opening a new account so I can live again, does anyone have any advice?

I live in Oklahoma. I have closed my bank account and am waiting for the calls to start coming in. Today is the day that the Internet Payday Loans funds are to be deducted from my account. I am only concerned about them calling my work and the two references I used. What can I do to ensure that these folks do not get bogged down from these loan companies calling them consistently? I will take their call once and listen to their scam or what they have to offer and then it is done with. I have the Polly letter ready to go and will send them certified today - should I fax them as well.

I'm going to close my checking account and default on all five of my payday loans, I need to know if I should send the settlement letters now or after they try to debit my account and find out it's closed. all my payday loans are internet based. I was constantly getting calls from my creditors on the hour every hour then all of a sudden it went to 3-4 a day then recently haven't gotten any. I did send each of them certified letters stating I was in a dmp. Could that have anythign to do with it?

I am an average american working full time, going to school full time, raising three children full time. My wife and I are hard working people but cannot seem to get ahead. Ok I have read quite abit of info on these forums. we have 4 payday loans outstanding. I am filing bankruptcy and want to includethem, but my lawyer says you are not allowed to file on any new credit extended within the last 90 days. We live in maryland.
