has any1 heard of an 11 yr old child bein billed and called by collectors?

I lost my job about a year and a half ago and I can no longer pay off debts with the credit card companies. Should I file bankruptcy or should I try to consolidate my accounts with Debt consolidation firm?

i am currently in the military and getting out in less than a year. i would like to be debt free when i get out. i am going on deployment so i will be able to pay off my debt sooner. but i need help.

I just wanted to share with all of you; there is this one particular storefront pdl in my area that I'm making payments to on a past due pdl; to make a long story short; before I started making the payments, one of the employees had the nerve to call and tell me that if I didn't pay something on it, a warrant could be issued for my arrest; needless to say, when I went in there this past Friday, I had asked one of the employees where this one particular employee was, and they had told me she was fired for stealing money from them. They are in the process of prosecuting her.

I called this company earlier this month and requested validation of a debt that they've been reporting to equifax since 2001.

I want to know if there are companies/organizations that can offer and good payment plan/consolidation plan in order to come out of debt faster. I am not delinquent in my payment and I have a "fair" credit score. Thanks, so_sar

The distinction between the do-not-call intent and the tenuous business relationship cited by a debt purchaser collection attempt nothwithstanding, I'd be curious just what anyone's legal obligation was to respond to these electronic calls. I became a lucky winner about two weeks ago, and I've received about ten of them to date.
