Hello, I sent a DV letter to LVNV on Sept. 18th. No response. I got a call from Gulf State today. Does this mean they cannot validate and are passing it around. I did talk to the man from Gulf State. He was very nice and told me to fax him a letter saying this debt was paid through Sherman. Is there a catch to this? I don't have anything from Sherman saying it was settled. Trying to get in touch with the lady that handled the Sherman account but no luck yet. What should my next move be?

I got a payday loan and i cant seem to find the number to contact them and they keep taking out of my account all i have on them is the debit that comes out of my account and it shows as 1-TJF Corp do you know how to find out the number to this place? or even the name of the lender and i can look up there number??? please please help

Just a question.. Every so often a poster comes along who loves to insult all of us here. It creates all kinds of drama, and then that person ends up posting all over the board and destroying helpful threads. I know that if I was a new person, I would be completely turned off by these insults. It's an ongoing problem here, and it really ends up killing morale. This place is about helping each other out, but we end up defending ourselves to these people. My question is this..Can these negative posts be deleted? I'm really tired of seeing them.

Most recently and on two occassions, we have had some of our clients, tired of waiting for our attorneys to settle with a third party debt collector, speak directly with them. Third party debt collectors have less rights than original creditors.

I have tried to send an email to the pdl company, borrowcashnow, and it won't go through. I get a message saying it can't send the mail because it's an illegal address. Now does anyone have a clue what that means and if so explain it to me. Their website list the address as loans(at)borrowcashnow.com and that's what I typed in. I'm getting more frustrated by the minute. Any suggestions?

hello i am trying to figure out how to get out of debt and still be able to move on with my life

I am a young mother currently going thru a divorce. I was fired from my job 2 weeks after my husband and I separated and was out of work for 8 weeks. I'm now so far behind on my bills I know there is no way I can get caught up on my own. I want to do debt consolidation / settlement, but there are so many sites and promises and choices to consider that I have NO IDEA where to start. Can any one tell me what the Con's are of taking a settlement over consolidation? I was going to use Consumer Creidt Counseling. A spoke to a counselor that called me from registering at this sight. I gave the counselor a run down on my history, but I did not have all the info she needed because they called me at work. She asked me to get everything together and give her a call the next day. Well when calling the next day, I was given to another counselor and told the one I had talked to the day before was no longer there.
