i have a school loan that i am unable to make the monthly payment to. it has been consolidated once with college foundation of nc. is there anything that i can do?

Hess Kennedy Company settled my Bank of America account in 3 months. I owed $4689 and they settled it for $1280. Only thing is that BOA will only report it as "Settled". Does this have any effect?

Aloha, I got a call today at work and this lady named Jenny Jordon, said she was calling from a lawyers office didn't catch the name. She said I took out a payday loan in May 2006 and that I need to money grame $587.50 by noon tomorrow (09/29/06) or they will process check fraud charges. But, the thing is I don't remember taking out a loan and when I asked the lady what FSM stood for she didn't know and she said that I can pay out of court before they process it and she put me on hold and then came back and told me to wire the money and then call a toll free number once I wired it.

I was unemployeed for 5 months with no income at all, I fell behind on my credit cards Student Loans and my car loan. I am current on my car loan but do not make enough to get current on anything else. I need to lump everything together in one monthly payment in order to save money and survive on my income.

My question is in regards to a student loan that I have with the Dept. of Education. The first entry which shows the correct amount of my loans is reported to all three bureaus. Then there is a second entry that is only reported to equifax which tacks on $6625. Does this second entry hurt my credit? Can I dispute this and who is the best one to contact first, the creditor or the bureau. This account has all the right information and open/reported date, but it would seem to me that this should not be reported since the first account has the correct information.

I got my first credit card in college. Started with a low available credit with easy monthly payments.Over time the amount available increased as well as the payments. Now i am in over my head.

I sent a letter to the Attorney General's office and filed a complaint with the office of financial affairs in Louisiana regarding $10 payday loan and the fact that the company turned my debt over to creditor who wants me to pay an additional $300 on top of the finance charge and the $25 NSF charge. Turns out that in Louisiana, you were only suppose to be charged 16.75% or $45 on $300. I hope that everything works out. I will keep you updated.

Ok. I have 118K in credit card debt. I just found this out 2 months ago as I haven't handled the money in our home. Poor money management, living beyond means, HUGE reduction in my salary (to zero) and financial burdens with family additions.. All this in the last 2 yrs. My question is how do I get out of this? I was going to refinance my home but even the money I would pull out to pay toward the debt would only take care of about a third of it... And my house would be maxed out. I've talked with 2 companies today with diffrent solutions.
