How do I go about trying to settle with collection agenecy before my bank account get levy? Do I just call them? Get a lawyer? I lived in NC.

I have defaulted loans with both Plain Green and 500 Fast Cash. Plain Green no longer sends any emails or calls but I did however receive an email from them about 4 months ago saying my account was sold to some collection company. Anyway, yesterday while at work I received a call from 500 Fast Cash. I work at a hospital and was sitting at the nurse's station at the time of the phone call. I tried to remain professional with the representative from their company but it was almost as if she was trying to push my buttons.

Has anyone ever been able to get a refund of over payment to Discount Advances. I have found a Desist and Refrain Letter from CA nad will send it in on Monday but, will I receive any money back????

I have just received a bunch of letters from other companies telling me I am/was being sued by CACH, LLC. I've never gotten anything from them and everything they were sending was going to a wrong address. Now, I opened a letter from WI Debt Helper, LLC and they had the date of 8/7/2012 and so I've missed that date by 4 days. Not sure what to do. They are claiming a debt that doesn't exsist.

I recently received a copy of "post judgement" that LVNV funding had sent via Arrow Financial to my employer requesting info on me to garnish my wages. The letter is showing the civil action file number from 2009. It shows on my credit report that they had opened the case Sept 2011 but started trying to collect on it again in January. I have no idea if this debt is correct because it doesn't show what account this is from. Can I still send a validation letter to them to request info on this account, or is it too late since they already sent a garnishment letter to my job?

Hello, I regret the day I ever took out my first payday loan and desperately need some advice. Paying the interest only on 7 payday loans is depleting my entire paycheck and I have nothing left for bills, etc. I live in MA and believe that the payday loan companies are illegal in my state. I don't know where to start...payday loan debt consolidation, close my bank account, send letter to payday loan companies.
