Hello, I have been searching for a personal loan. I tried through my bank, Suntrust and American Financial Services and was turned down. I make $41,000 per year, have a credit score in the range of 627-635, which is considered fair credit.. My combined debt is about $5,000. Are there any loan companies that you could suggest? I already know I should never pay for a loan upfront but sometimes it is hard to tell the legitimate lenders from the scams. Thank you for your time.

Not exactly debt related, but I kind of though others would like to know the outrageous fees charged by WM on a Visa CC. Please remove if necessary! Just curious, if anyone has recieved a credit card offer from Washington Mutual?? I actually recieved two, one at home, and one at the P/O recently. Reading their "terms", I started laughing, as the apr's they list are everything from insane to obscene! Intro APR: 0% Standard APR: May vary, depending on Prime Rate changes. APR for Purchases: 6.74% PLUS Prime.

I havent done much research yet, but I have 2 credit cards that have been sent to collection agencies ( one a lawyers office??? ). Im just getting into this stuff, and I found this website/forum... hooray! anyway, I'm a freelance graphic designer living in MA ( hoping to become full time if any companies acctually hire for that anymore )and my income is about $1500 a month ( depending on work of course ).

What can I do to consolidate my payday loans?

I received 2 emails from Payday OK and Payday Select saying that they had received my letters requesting a settlement for both accounts and they have marked them paid and closed them!! YEAH!! I owed $500 each but had paid so much in fees that I had way overpaid!! Now, I have 3 more to settle and I am DONE with PDL's forever!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for everyone's support and information. I never would have known that I could even try this without the info found on this forum! Good luck to everyone who are battling with PDL's. ~Melissa~

I need to take some of this stress off my back as I begin to start my "adult life". I just finished my MBA and have accumulated a large debt between student loans and all the things that come with paying for school. I owe approximately 36,000 in student loans which I am not sure you can help with and about 2000 in credit card debt. I also owe $140 on a cell phone and about $250 in other bills, thus bringing the grand total to 38.390. I am losing my job in November and I want to start relieving this stress before that one starts. Can you help? Please?! Thank you, Cate

First off I want to say I am so, so, so, glad I found this sight. I have one Store Front PDL that I have been behind on since this past Saturday, but have been calling them everyday. Well yesterday I spoke with the mananger and they are going to work with me to get this paid off YIPPEE. I almost got a few on line PDL but after finding this sight, when they called to check my info, I declined them.
