I have been looking into consolidating my outstanding debt. I have about 10 to 15 k dollars in debt and i am really tired of debt collectors calling for something i didnt know i had, or just didnt remember. I recently returned from iraq to find that most of the debt i payed off while i was deployed really didnt help me that much. Seems like it just put out the word to other debt collectors that i was settling my accounts. If you could give me some information on consolidation I would appreciate it.

I need help on how to get out of the pay day loan cycle. I thought the quick cash was going to help but now I am in a bigger mess. I am paying $180 A month just in the interest and can't seem to escape it.

I have Debt! $10,000 7 months deliquent (1 card) $15,000 currently open and paid on time (barely). Own a home(1 year) and bought while credit was still fair(600+ score). But now drowning because of high morgage payments. Make enough to pay my bills if it wasn't for the outrageous interest I'm paying. What can I do? Equity Loan, debt consolidation / Collecttion? Want to pay one amount around $600 a month and payoff my debt within 5 years. Solutions???

I just heard on our local news and checked their web site for this info. The FTC apparently has issued a temporary restraining order claiming they broke up a national credit scam using deceptive and unfair pracices in violation of Section 5 of the FTC Act. They were promising to wipe out at least half of consumers debt when they used their services for debt comsolidation. They included: Homeland Financial Solutions, National Support Services,Prosper Financial Solutions.

Holy crap,... I have been on the phone for almost 3 hours trying to contact someone at equifax about a couple of bills that went to collectionsz in my name, *** why is it that they will report stuff then if you want to pay it they do not always put creditors name?? unknown creditor does not cut the butter for me especially after 2.5 years, diffrent state, no address no phone # and I cannot even call equifax to see who it is to pay it ???? Yes 2 of my pdl said no and sent my account to DA's office after accepting my consolidators proposal and receiving money from my consolidation company. And if I want it to stop I have to pay an additional $250 atty's fee's upfront and the penalty that accrued when I defaulted on my loan. I have a 24 hour notice and 24 hour to respond or send my money to them. I don't know what kind of game they are playing and I'm not sure how to respond to them. I called my consolidator and advised me to coordinate w/ PDL. What should I do?
