Anyone dealt with Gerald E. Moore and Assoc.? They contacted me about a valid credit card bill. They coerced my banking info out of me then I called back and wanted validation. They said they would send it...but didn't. I stopped payment on everything they attempted to withdraw and eventually closed the account. I will send them a debt validation letter and also ask them to quit calling my work.

I have over 60,000 in unsecured debt mostly credit cards. Do you think I am better with debt settlement or a cccs agency. I have looked into both. The cccs repayment is alot more but seems like the "right" way to do things. I have been up to date until lately. Now I am getting behind and want to do something before it gets totally out of control. :cry:

I just joined the forum today in the hope of having some new answers or ideas. I am seriously in debt. I can not afford even the minimum monthly payment on my unsecured debt and the percentage rates on my credit cards are outrageous! I saw a credit counselor two days ago and, after evaluating my situation, he recommended that I simply stop paying on my accounts.

Can you receive debt consolidation even if your bills are not in collection yet?

I have 4 or 5 bills that are over due. I have a credit card,personal loan, few retail bills, and a bank bill. What is the best solution to clean my credit report up and pay these bill if im strapped for cash. What are some solutions.

My sister thought she was helping a friend 9 years ago when she cosigned a state student loan (not Federal), though my sister claims her friend misreprented the form (she thought it was for a reference). The borrower never paid the loan, now the collection agency is threatening to take us to court. Can they do this? The debt is from 1997, there is little documentation including what the amount of the loan is. The loan application says it was to be used in 1997, but the money was given out in 2001.

I received notification that the plaintiff, a store front PDL, filed a dismissal on the suit that they had brought against me. The judge signed it...Case Dismissed! For my personal life this is a victory. For my aspirations of setting a precedent in my state, it is not a victory. Ah well, maybe next time!

I live in OH and have internet PDLs from CashNetUSA, principal of $800 but paid at least $900 in interest with others paid at least twice the principals. Except for CashNetUSA, others had extension fees. Also, where can I find template for letters to send to PDL's?
