I filed bankruptcy last year (CH7) and am trying to re-establish my credit. I got approved for a $300 credit line with Orchard Bank. Did anyone else have them? Any complaints?

I recently sent a debt pack with consumer credit counciling of america. From what I understand they work a little bit diffrently than most debt consolidators, they have the Law offices of Richard A. Brennan negotiate my debt with 3 payday loans and a collection account. Are they for real?

I just saw "Starsky" in an ad for "Consumer credit counseling." I guess we all have to make a living some how!

To begin with I got a cell phone for my husband and he would rack up a $300 bill every time and it was already difficult to pay with our income. I had just got a new job working for myself as a hairstylist and was not making much because I had to build a clientel and at the same time my husband decided to go on unemployment. unemployment did not pay enough for us to afford to pay our bills so we had to let go of our cell phones and also my credit cards that I still owed on and try to get by.

I have a Terri Loan from 1998 - I just received a notice of a petition to the court for jusdgement - no court date. Is there any help for me at this point? We live at/below the poverty line, my husband is disabled with Parkinson's and needs 24 hr. care. Our only source of income is his Soc. Sec. Disability. I have a not yet 2 year old son. I WANT to take a job - I've always worked hard, but there is no way I would net any money between the cost of care for my husband and son. I feel so stuck.
