What is the difference between secured and unsecure accounts? Can you give me examples of each? Thanks!

Is it common for a settlement company to have you sign a Limited Power Of Attorney?

I checked my TransUnion credit report yesterday and Riscuity reported to them for a PDL to Zipcash. They never validated the debt and Zipcash is acting illegally. I plan to dispute it. I'm hoping I can get it taken off. Anybody else have this happen to them?

Where can I find easy to understand info on SOLs? I am most interested in SOL for my place of residence, NYC. I am also interested in understanding when a SOL begins…..my last payment made? When the account is transferred to a collection agency? Also looking to understand if every type of debt has a SOL, such as credit card vs. student loan vs. personal loan etc. Thanks!

I am 24 years old and have been working as a waitress and in the past other related jobs that do not offer health insurance. I was hospitalized a bout a year and a half ago which has started my debt wich since has gotten a lot worse. since i was making payments to the hospital and ambulance company i had to use credit on many of my other expences. And recently have lost my licence due to a dui. My payments for fines and fees along with medical, car insurance, credit cards, phones and rent make it hard to keep a positive outlook.

I have a couple of credit cards that I'm trying to consolidate to avoid the heavy interest fees they are now trying to assess. I'm just looking for opportunities to combine that debt into one "big" debt and pay it off. Any help would be appreciated.

I sent an email to the BBB in Las Vegas, NV concerning the way I was cheated out of $1500. EDollarsDirect got $1500 from me against a $300 loan. Their paperwork said they were located in Nevada, but when I was contacted by a lawyer and told I was being taken to court by EDollars, the lawyers office was out of Florida. Can someone please give me some advise on how to get my money back from these \"CROOKS\". I felt so stupid for falling into their trap, but I see I\'m not the only one.

I have never had an account with AT&T wireless. Yet my credit report says I owe them $349 and is now in the hands of Palisades collection. Today I receive a letter from a law firm saying they have been authorized to offer me the opportunity to settle this account At 50% off which is $174.92. I am not sending them a dime for an a account I never had. How should I deal with this situation?
