I dont know if its true, but i hear that there is a major movement to outlaw payday loans and that some states such as NY have allready banned them. Any truth to that?

I will advise consumers not to borrow money on the internet I learned my lesson when I access a payday loan on the internet - that same week i was laid off could not pay back right away I am now charge $600 on the $200 that I borrow I am still waiting a reply from consumer affairs in Nevada that is where the company is located.

I am in default on a Chase Credit card. I have caller ID but it says "unknown name and unknown number" the number is 407-771-0887 I have been getting alot of calls from this number

Has anyone gotten anything in the mail from them? They've called me twice, about a month ago and tonight. I asked for something in the mail. They said they sent me two letters (yea right) which I never got. Anyway, they are sending me something via email. Is this legal? I asked him if he knew the law. No answer. It was like pulling teeth to get a physical address. He had to ask something else about giving a physical address for a validation letter. Can I go ahead and send a validation letter without getting anything in writing?

Everyone - Since my login somehow got hosed with my last post (and because I appreciate all the help), I'm going to post the second letter I concocted today. Again, I decided to leave in the actual numbers so you could see what the crooks were tagging me for. (Note: I put the part about the representatives because I haven't yet contracted with a consolidator or settlement company. I expect to be doing that soon. So salt to taste. :) ) Also, you'll notice that in this particular case, I haven't paid the total amount of the principal and interest allowed under LA law.

Hello. I have 2 payday loans that are delinquent and the tell me that they don't deal with debt conslidators and that I must pay with in their timetable or they will garnish my wages. My credit debt consolidator says that they can handle them and that the payday lenders are making empty threats. What all can the do and what all should i do?
