I received a letter from NPA of Shawnee Mission, KS. They are trying to collect a debt for National Opportunities Unlimited from June of 2003. Since the SOL in Arkansas is 3 years, isn't this debt too old to collect? Thank you.

Need Major help with my Credit Card Bills. I am looking into consolidating, others are telling me to go to a debt settlement speciallist. Dont know what to do. all i know is that My bills are piling up.

I had a car repoed in 1999. I live in NC. Today I received a phone call from a debt collector stating that if I do not pay, they will return the account over to the original creditor who will then turn it into the IRS. They will then issue me a 1099 and I will have to pay taxes on it this year. I have never heard this before. Can they do this?

Just got a call from Cash Supply, they told me they do not have to abide by the state I reside in laws. They are exempt, and stated that the AG can say whatever they want they are untouchable. WHATEVER

Hi, Glad I found this bulletin board! For the past 5 days, I've been getting 9 calls from nbr 713-271-3899. I can't answer the damn phone anymore after the first time because they don't use TTY. I can't hear on phone, so I called them back but kept getting busy signals. ??? So screw them. What the heck? They kept on calling me. So I pressed star 77 in hope of blocking this caller. I'm ticked off because I am listed on the No Call list for few years, but I still get this? What is going on? This needs to be STOPPED! DO SOMETHING!

I have sent letters to 3 internet PDL lenders Paragon, M1Ydirect and cash today ltd I did this approx. 3 weeks ago and to date have not received and e-mail or a phone call nothing! any suggestions or has anyone experienced this before?

As you all know my 12 year old daughter is a special needs student and this year the school has decided that she doesn't need a one on one aide. According to the school principal, they can't afford to keep the aide they have had for her since she started school here in 2002. My daughter is now in the 5th grade doing 3rd grade work. She has no one watching over her and helping her with her studies. The school feels it is more important to build a new cafeteria, gym and sports complex than keep special education teachers.

I've been using E-funds transfers, from my checking account, to pay my monthly credit card payments. If I default on an account, would the credit card company try to collect by using my E-fund tranfer information? Have any of you had this problem?
