I know that during consolidation my accounts all say being paid through CCCS. WHen I am finally debt free do the accounts show paid in full with no notice of CCCS? I really want to make sure once out of this program that my credit will look perfect. Thanks.

Alright, I've been a member for about a month now and have finally come to the point where I want to tell my story......Last June I separated from my husband and then the past due bills started piling up, because I could not pay everything on my own. My bank account was drained, because I didn't think to do it first, and he got all the $$ out of it. I'm over that-my fault I shouldn't have trusted him anymore at that point. I did the best I could with the creditors and was making headway, however not as quickly as some of them would like.

Has anyone heard of this company which is based in Roseville, California? I got a call from them offering me a $5000.00 loan at 8% interest to be repaid in two years. They want $900.00 collateral or $950.00 credit insurance, 50% of which is refundable. The collateral payment goes toward the principal they say. This sounds awfully like Alliance Funding Corporation, to which I fell victim. Any information about this organization?

I have heard it is, but the debt settlement company I am talking with said this very rarely occurs if at all. That very infrequcntyly a CC company will send you a 1099. But there are exemptions that can get you over having to pay this. What are your experiences with this? Thank you.

Are these generally better than a company? I would think they have to abide by more ethics rules being attorneys. I have talked with debt consolidation Law Center (drlawcenter.com) for 90 minutes. Seem quite knowledgeable and courteous. Their rate is 10% of the debt plus 15% of the amount of money they save me. Seems higher than normal settlement companies. However they are basically pormising me that all account will be settled as paid in full and not as paid/settled. This is worth the extra amount to me. What do you think? Also does anyone have any experience with this firm? Thank you.

Good afternoon. Back in March I received a collection letter from Resurgent Capital. I sent them a debt validation letter that I found on this site. I sent it US mail return receipt and did get the green card back. About a week after I received that back I got a letter from them saying they "were in receipt of my inquiry and are investigating my claim." OK. Five months go by and I have heard nothing. In todays mail I get a letter saying that "Information you provided has been forwarded to the customer service department for research.
