Hey I got a refund check for $60.00 from Payday Services. I hope it doesn't bounce!

My story is typical of most students in debt. I'd received creditcards and spent too much. The first 6 months were fine, only using the cards when I had the money to pay them off. I then started school. I'd lost my scholarship due to quality points and had to use the cards to buy my books and pay my tuition. Then one day about a year ago, my Ford Taurus' head gaskets blew. I didn't have the cash to pay for it and I charged it up. It's all been down hill from there. I know I can make payments, but it is very hectic making several large payments through out the month.

I am looking for some help. I have stayed up many late nights trying to figure out what my best option is. Like everyone else I am trying to get out of debt as quick as possible without destroying my credit. I have an excellent credit score. I am about $23K in debt. I am current on my payments and I pay more than the minimums. However on 2 cards, I am paying 23% and 25% apr! I am spending like $450 a month I believe in interest alone. I have been talking to a settlement company who tries to make me feel like everything will be all peachy keen when Im done.

I'm not sure of spelling of second name. But they are an agency working with Dell. Has anyone been contacted by them?

I have sent the letter to the online PDL's, some have agreed to close the accounts. Others state that if you can open the account over the internet, then you are bound to the terms of the contract. I am trying to find a good response for this one. PDL's are illegal in my home state. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

My co-worker told me I had a call today about my son being in the hospital. I thought this was strange since I don't have any children! Well I pick up the phone and it's Payday Avenue! How low can you get?

MY HUSBAND JUST PAID A 107,00 eletronic check to HSBC HOUSEHOLD CREDIT CARD in august 3,2006 and they asked for more 187,00 for august 18,2006.i think for a credit card with 1400,00 only is a lot of money and i go to copy(xerox)this letter to the atorney general of florida (later).household credit card people told my husband that they dont ask for more money in august 2006 because he was paying july and august 2006 together in august 3,2006 (107,00).they told my husband in a letter yesterday,if he didnt make another payment of 187,00 in august 18,2006 his credit rate you be affected and all

I am having trouble staying afloat due to payday loans. I took out some payday loans to make ends meet. I take home about $1,000 every payday, but I'm paying about $500 in payday loan fees alone, because I can't afford to pay them all off at once. I also have student loan payments, a car payment, and other bills. I'm two months behind on my car note and I will be using my next paycheck to pay that off and won't be able to make the payments on the loans.
