Can someone please tell me if they recognize this phone #? 866-489-0979. The person on the phone has called me numerous times daily and has said they are forwarding claim information to their attorney.
If anyone can please give me any information on who or what company this is and what I should do at this point as they have already threatened a lawsuit, that'd be great.

you after dismissal of bankruptcy. They are coming
back again to collect there money. Our bankruptcy
paid some of the amounts but not all. Our lawyer
sucked and this is why our bankruptcy was dismissed
instead of discharged. What can we do now, my
husband is co-owner of a business. What can they
do to us and our business. Our debt is credit card
unsecured, MBNA, CitiBank, Bank of America and firs

Credit Card Debt SOL19 years 5 months ago I have been contacted by Asset Acceptance, LLC for a debt collection issue. As far as I can tell, the debt is at least 16 years old. It does not appear on my credit reports and has not for almost 10 years. Are they legitimately trying to collect this debt and am I still obligated to deal with them under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act? Can I simply send them a letter telling them not to contact me?

A year and a half ago, I lost my beautiful wife of 36 years - very unexpectedly. She had been given an all clear on the colon cancer she had been battling.
