Hi, I hope someone can help me. I made the awful mistake of taking out some payday advance loans, hoping that it would help me get thru some rough spots. Of course, it didn't, and everything snowballed. I realize that I have to repay these, but I was wondering if you knew of any debt consolidation companies that work with these kind of creditors. Does anyone here deal with the pay day lenders on their own rather than working with T&C? I was supposed to send the T&C a retainer fee which I have not done yet because I have been working with companies whom I defaulted myself. Most of them are cooperative and willing to work out some kind of arrangements. Some of them (Nationwide, CTC, and Rio Resources) were uncooperative but I feel I can take them on with what I have learned around here. Will it be more benefical for me to consolidate the loans with T&C or deal with the lenders myself? I would like to have your inputs. Thanks!

Has anyone ever heard of this company? I have them calling me regarding a past payday loan from Universal, but on the letter that they sent me it says it is an account from Purpose Solutions. I don't have a clue as to if Purpose/Universal are the same. Any advice?

I paid off a debt with Oxford Collections that was on my Equifax report. The report was updated and to my surprise it shows the amount owed went from $118, down to $42. I paid the entire amount I owed. I called the collection agency and they said I owed nothing. I reqested from them twice to send a letter that I paid and they never sent it. I disputed again with Experian. Even giving them the confirmation numbers and names of the people I spoke to. I don't know what else to do.

I had one collector sent me a letter in the mail saying that they will allow me to only pay 35% of my debt. This doesn't sound like a bad offer, but my question is, should i have them send me something in writing that they are allowing me to settle my debt for X amt of dollars? If i do pay this amount, it's not gonna come off my report as a negative item, but will show "paid in full" or something to that effect? I also want to pay off a few charge off accounts that are still within the sol period.

If I am correct, the company negotiates lower interest rates for you and you pay them one monthly payment which they distribute to your creditors. There is als a fee each month that is paid to the company for their services.

I just received a phone call from an Attorney's office, that was ratained to collect a debt owed by me to CACH,LLC. He told me they sent a letter, which as I was talking to him I went out and checked my mailbox and there it was. I explained to him I just received it and was reading it at that very moment, I proceeded to tell him that that I could take care of the debt on June 9, " ten days from now" That wasn't acceptable to him. I said according to the letter, which I just received, I have 30 days to dispute it.
