With the help of you kind folks, I was able to get all 3 credit reports from Equifax, Experian and Transunion online free of cost yeah :). Here comes the hard part. I noticed on all 3 reports some credit card charge offs are listed 3, 4 times. I guess this happens when different collection agency buys the account, but I can't understand why they would have the same account listed so many times. I also noticed that the 7yr that it takes for stuff to fall off is going to take longer than that time, because the charge off date is incorrect.

I received a monthly statement from Bank of America, they have been really cooperative and even address the statements to my husband and underneath it is c/o my debt settlement program. Well, this month I noticed on the statement is said, your account is being reviewed for litigation or a collection agency service. Do you think they will turn it over to the CA or go straight for a lawsuit? In my opinion, these credit card companies KNEW that this was going to happen this year and honestly they are prepared for the write off's/charge off's or whatever.

I am able to pay the min amount but due to fees and other things, I am over the limit on one of them. I really appreciated going through some of the forums, all of you seem so friendly and so willing to give advice! I am waiting for someone to get back to me about my situation. I need a little advice. We have a loan with Sonic, and I recently quit my job due to health reasons, in doing so we got behind on our mortgage. I need to make a mortgage payment and not pay sonic, any suggestions?

While browsing through the "My Story" section of the forums, I was struck by how while everybody's story has its different actors and settings, the beginning and endings are almost always the same. It goes sorta like this: #1--The need for more money. A need not uncommon to majority of people, I would imagine. The reason for the need are varied and range from careless spending to poor choices to illness to unemployment. #2--This need leads to locating a source of money. Usually a job, but if your job isn't paying enough then it is borrowing from friends or using credit.

Is anyone else having this problem? when I click on posts since last visit, it gives me an error message. I was able to click on debt consolidation care and then pub and post this, but I can't read any of the posts. What's up with that?

I found on my CR a listin for a gateway charge-off and unifund/gateway charge-off. I am assuming this unifund is a CA. My question is can they report like this on the same debt? Or is it considered 2 seperate accounts? I am trying to clear up my credit and want to consolidate. I want to diapute this and have contacted unifund via their voicemail and asked for a debt validation letter, should I try to do the same with gateway? This is for one PC I was paying on 4 years ago and would like to take care of this debt and try to clean up my report9s0 as well. Any help here.
