What would you all do? I have faxed a letter to an online PDL twice...indicating the usual that they are not lic in my state & that I am due a refund. I have heard absolutely nothing. All of the other lenders have responded & sent refunds. Should I take a chance & take it off my T&C list?

did not receive papers

I just got my credit reports from Experian and Equifax. I saw both had my mortgage company on the report and it says Discharged through Bankruptcy - Chapter 7/Never Late. I don't remember putting the mortgage company in the paperwork. The bankruptcy was discharged in may 2001. Does this mean I don't have to make mortgage payments anymore? I have been paying ever since 2001. Should I dispute this? I will look over my paperwork for the bankruptcy. I didn't think you could put mortgages on bankruptcy. Could someone define this for me? Thanks.

Hi! The other day I received a phone call on Thursday that I need to call First Financial Asset Management by Friday so that "legal action" isn't taken place. I did not talk to them but was able to send a certified cease phone contact and validation letter. I received my return receipt (green) back from the post office stating that they recieved it. Today, I received a phone call from them telling me to call them back. Did they violate any laws by doing this? I have logged when they called for any future reference. What is my next steps?

Has anyone heard of this collection company? If so, what is their address? What do I do if I want them to verify the debt I supposely owe and how do I get them to stop calling me on my cell and at work.

What Agency oversees licensing of Collection Agencies? Is there an on line search I'm just not finding? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello, I received a 40% debt settlement offer from Discover Card last week. I am interested in this offer, but in the fine print at the bottom of the documents it states "Upon receipt of the agreed settlement amount, we will send an update to the major credit reporting agencies in your area informing them this account has been settled in full for less than the full balance". Can I do anything to get a more favorable credit report impact? Thanks, Brian6075

The group pinion has not called me since the lady stated that I needed to get a lawyer. I am just worried I do not want to go to court over a stupid payday loan. They just kept telling me the amount they wanted and three tries now and they all have failed. I spoke to a man form 500 fast cash with one number and this lady calls me on tues with a different number stating I have 48 hours to give them my lawyers name, or make payment in full. I am just tired of the scare tatics especailly when I am a mother of 2 just trying to put food on the table.

Well,I was just saying to someone else in the forum tha NCO was the only CA that was decent to me and let me make payments. Wellll-I got a call from them about my son's account,who is on disability. They told me Discover charged it off 1999,and they got it 2000? Well I explained he is on disability,has been for several years,got these cards back in 1995(?) and hasn't used them since 6 or seven years. He will be on disability forever,blah,blah. They said they don't care,they are goin to do a wage garnishment and judgement on him.
