Can anybody help me find the laws regarding payday loans in the great state of Kentucky? I plan on sending "the letter" to our friend quick payday and I want to have my figures right. Also, should I email them the letter or send it by snail mail?

I had 295.00 in debt collection thru Calvary. It was for Sprint PCS. This was 2 to 3 years ago and I am refinancing my mortgage and need a copy of this receipt. Please contact Sprint PCS and make sure they know it has been paid. I paid this bill by check over the phone. Thank you

I'm glad it has worked out, but be careful. Make sure that they no longer have permission to debit your account. Some companies have been known to debit long after they have been paid in full.

I have a judgement on my credit report from a few years ago. It was from a dental surgery my father paid. His check bounced and they did not have my contact information. A year later I was served court papers and my wages were garnished. The debt has been paid for 2 years. I want to know if I can dispute this because to my knowledge the debt was paid?

I'm sure you've all come across this one in looking for a loan with less than perfect credit - Abacus. Has anyone dealt with them? I know they charge about $39 for their service. But they guarantee that they can put you in touch with a loan provider regardless of your credit. Too good to be true? I am very skeptical. But I will say this much, I haven't found too much that is negative about them yet. And they seem to have been in biz for quite some time now. Thanks for your comments!

Just a quick update. Things are sure looking up for me. God has been so good. The bank reversed the PDL check they had paid. I still don't know if that means the PDL companies bank takes the money from them but I feel ok about it since I already had payment arrangements set up. Anyway, I was a month behind on my rent so with this last paycheck I needed to pay April and May rent which took most of my check. I wasn't going to have enough to pay T&C.
