Who verifies Nextcard's info now

19 years 3 months ago
Does anybody know who verifies Nextcard's info now. I wonder if they will respond to validation. Now owned by Asset Acceptance. I wonder what real paperwork they have. Who knows it might even be one of the accounts classified as fraud by Nextcard before it went down.

My newest 500fastcash message

thought you guys would want to see it.. Yes we are monitoring this forum and many others. Please get in touch with us ASAP to make arrangements, we will be happy to work with you. ****If you have settled with the other company for $160.00, from 500.00, why would you expect to get more than what we are offering? All we are asking for is the amount we placed in your account, why do you think that you should not pay it?

Does bankruptcy ever get completely removed from your report

19 years 3 months ago
I filed for bankruptcy in 1998, and even though it's been 8 years now, it's still on my report. I'm house hunting and my mortgage guy said it's not a huge deal since it's been several years now, but I'm just curious if this will ever be completely removed from my report. I heard after 7 it should come off, but then I heard 10. Which is right? And if it's 7, who do I contact to get it off my report? Advice? Sue

Payday loan laws - let’s dig up beyond the crust

19 years 3 months ago
Payday loan is the topic most people discuss in forums nowadays. I have noticed that lots of confusions are there regarding payday loan laws, especially when it comes to online payday loan companies. People often get confused where to find the right information about state laws that ensure the licensing process. The sections of UCC seem to be confusing sometimes. I'm sure general people often get perplexed. Why don't we contact some high-ranking persons and interview them?

Request a Credit Balance?

19 years 3 months ago
I closed an account i had a while ago with Next Card and recently found my last statement that showed a credit balance. I tried calling them but they have an entirely automated support thing. no personnel, probably because nextcard is now gone...i think. anyways, the nextcard website is still there and in its small FAQ section, it said that Credit Balance Requests must be done by mail. What kind of a letter must i write? What should it contain? If they do decide to send me my money, can i ask them to route it to a different bank account? any and all answers welcome. thanks!

West Corporation?

19 years 3 months ago
I've read a few things about West in the forums, I know that they do collection services, I haven't heard very nice things about their collection services. I work on their consumer welcome end. I don't doubt that they are headache to hear from because they sure are a terror to work for. So many rules, rediculous ones too. I called out sick Monday because I had a migraine and dry heaves, and I just saw today in the scheduling system that my call-in counts as a step-4 attendance violation! Even though I called before my shift, this means I'm probably getting sacked.
