Today my last Payday loan was changed to paid in full, after paying them over $3500 in interest and complaining to the AGs office in thier state,a very nice person from Gecc call me today and told me that they a going to forgive the rest of my loan. They followed up with an email, and will be sending me the paperwork in the mail.I have no more payday loans,I so happy, now all the money Im putting into consolidation will be going toward my credit card bills, and they should be paid in full in about 11 months.Im so happy I found this board when I did,or I might be living in my car now.Thank you, to a

Lost in the traffic of debts

19 years 4 months ago
I'm lost in the traffic of debts and don't know how to get out. I have several payday loans as well as credit cards debts. I were able to stop payments on my payday loans, and some of the companies agree to work with me and some have not. I would like to get into a consolidation program, so I can gain control of my finance again. Can some one give me a good reliable company to work with. Thanks

Re: junk debt buyers-spoke w/attorney

19 years 4 months ago
I just spoke with two different attorneys,we had a call-in deal w/local tv for free advice. Anyway,I explained Sears sold my account to junk debt buyer who was refusing to take payments, thratening, ect. I found out if it isn't the original creditor trying to collect and they want to issue a judgement against you, they have to go through District Court, which amounts to alot of money for them.Plus, they don't have to be licensed here(Okla) but do have to show up where you live. Both attorneys offered almost the same advice.

Creditors Financial Group - Are they difficult to deal with?

19 years 4 months ago
Hi all. Today, I decided to take initiative as to contacting Creditors Financial Group LLC to make arrangements of an outstanding debt that I have, approx. $2600. I am currently in college, planning to graduate, and it is truly unfeasable for me to pay the amount in full, as they have demanded. I offered an amount that is reasonable to my current budget and the representative immediately commented "I would think you being in college would give you a little more common sense and intelligence about the matter." and then hung up on me!!!

Anyone used Superior Debt Relief? or other debt settlement?

19 years 4 months ago
I keep hearing everyone mention T&C, but I have no idea what that is or where to find it. This site recommended Superior debt relief for me, which is debt settlement not debt consolidation. Has anyone used this company, or any other settlement company, that could tell me how their experience was? Does it really work? They want me to not pay my bills and only pay them for 6 months, then they said they will negotiate for me, and get it down to just 50% of what I owe. Does that work or will I only screw myself? -Josh

Debt Collectors Buying Old Debt

19 years 4 months ago
Is this legal? Some debt collectors have purchased some really old debts of which the originals are no longer on my credit report. Do I have the right to dispute the entries on my report? I found 1 that claims to have opened in 2003 but I know for sure that account was opened in 1999 and should be long gone by now. Does anyone have any advice for me? Thanks.!
