Can a person threaten jail over a payday loan

Xpress Cash and Check N Go sued me for PDL that I owed. I got the loans in July of 2004 and renewed until December of 2005, Xpress Cash was for a $300 loan, renewal fees were 45 every 2 wks, check n go was for $200, renewal fees were 30 every 2 wks. I went to court today and the Judge was appalled at how much money I had paid them and dropped both cases and ordered Check N Go to refund me $800 for the interest that I had paid and ordered Xpress cash to refund me $1000for the interest I had paid.

Hi! I'm new to the site, and I'm waiting for a consultant to contact me. I have 8 PDLs that I'm currently doing business with, and though I haven't been late on any of them yet, recent financial problems may cause me to begin to have trouble paying these PDLs back on time. Could I please have the contact information for T&C? I would like to get in contact with them ASAP! I had no idea that there was a debt consolidation firm that worked with helping people pay off PDLs. I live in Ohio, and I have no idea if I can use the services of T&C or not.

:roll: Is GC Services a COLLECTION AGENCY or are they not bound by the fdcpa? I owed Sallie Mae $5.29. It's paid. They are sending a letter to GC telling them to stop the $99 collection fee...Because $99 is pretty excessive for a $5 debt. So today at work, my phone rings. It's Mark who is a "floater" employee who is working at one of our locations. (The floaters work 2-3 stores, basically to fill in when the Mgr. or Asst. Mgr is off) He says some guy named Eddie called wanting our corporate office number for payroll to GARNISH MY WAGES.

Just got an email that I'm paid off!! WHOOOPEEE...I made my last payment on friday after negotiating payment arrangements with them. Ha! They even said if I need any future loans, please don't hesitate to call them! DOUBLE HA!!!! HAHA! That's 3 down, 3 to go!!! If I didn't have to work today, I'd have some wine with my cake!

:cry: Today, my work, the number I never give out, recieved a call today from a Ms. White (904-356-0887) and said I'd better call that it's in regard to legal matters and was crappy. I called the number, she asked my name and then my ss#. I told her i wasn't going to give that to her since she has yet to announce herslef to me or what company she worked for. She became irrate and told me fine that she wasn't going to play games with me.
