If the collection comes back as "verified" from the credit bureaus, you now have proof of further collection activity from the collection agency. (The assumption is that the credit bureau contacted the collection agency to verify the debt.) Since the collection agency did not validate the debt, further collection activity is a violation of the fdcpa. Contact the credit bureaus, and tell them that the creditors did not verify the debts under the FDCPA, and send copies of your proof. Request the method of verification, which is your right under the FCRA.

I called teletrack to get a copy of my report. They want me to send a copy of my driver's license and social security card through the mail to them. This just doesn't sound like a good idea. How else can you get this report?

I am looking for contact information for Cashnet not Cashnetusa. They have taken 200.00 in fees from my account due to NSF. I currently in bankruptcy and rather have them send a bill then deduct from an account that has no money in it.

I guess it just depends on who you talk to. I have been running around and around trying to figure out how to rectify the issue with my bank. I had my husband's direct deposit switched to my savings account, this way we won't have to have it eaten up by fees each week - well since my checking account was going so far into the negative, they decided that they will take it from my savings account.

I should have known better. We had been in this situation before and it was very difficult to get out, but no, I agreed with my husband's decision to get a payday loan so we could buy my daughter some new school clothes. She could have worn her old clothes for one more week but ok whatever we are going to pay the loan on our next payday anyway. The next payday rolls around and it is fair time. I love the fair and my daughter has never been. Howabout we wait and pay it off next payday so we can go to the fair? ok. The next payday comes and... oh no... the car breaks down.

Hi, I need urgent help with CC debt. I used to have Discover card as a student. When I finished college and became employed I transfered the balance to my bank credit card that they offered me, because of lower interest rate. I wasn't using the credit card, just paying off the balance (around $2000). Then they started charging me for late payments, when I have send them money on time. They always posted it a day later. I have refused to pay those charges, but that didn't matter. Then I have been laid off and only receiving SSI to support my family.

On my credit report are arrow financial and GoodYear. I sent Arrow a letter that I found on internet. They written back and said I did not validate in 30 days so they assume the debt is mine. I never received any thing from them or any other collection agency about this debt. CRA verified these debts are mine. Written OC to verify and they both did not verify. A month ago sent letter... Have green card. How was I asked for validation with arrow in 30 days when I knew nothing about this. this is sam's club... Did some time ago send GoodYear validation letter and never did validate.
