We don't have any credit cards but we have several loans and have a morgage. Do these count as debts, how much in debt do you have to be to qualify for debt consolidation?

I've been doing some research here on the florida payday lending laws and the most they can charge in interest is %10 of the principal and $5 verification fees..if so I have the address of Platinum B. Services who have their address listed in Clearwater,Florida. I took out a loan for $325 last November. Since then every two weeks they have debited my account for $75 for interest only. Have they somehow violated this lending law? My records indicate that I have paid them over $450 in fees only. What do all think?

Can I still get out of debt even if I had a discharged bankruptcy in 4/04. I want to get back in controll of my finances. This is to stressfull.

Hello, I have done some searches on this forum in regards to a company called A S and Associates. THey are saying that I will be brought up on charges if I do not pay in full my payday loan. From reading acouple of posts it seems these are scare tatics. My question is that do I have right? And can I place a complaint or charges on harassment. I want to pay the loan off but need to make payment arrangements and they are telling me I must work though them only and will not give me any contact information on the Payday loan company.

In 2002, I settled with 3 different companies and paid off all (i thought) of my outstanding debt. Unfortunately I did not have the knowledge I do now, and did not demand they remove derogatory remarks before paying, but that's another story. I recently found on my credit report an account listed as still in collection from NCO Financial. It is listed as a collection from a former CC account I had with CitiBank. Oddly enough, CitiBank does not appear on my credit report at all (either as a positive or a negative).

I worked for Protocol Recovery Service in their Pensacola branch for approximately two months. For the first couple of weeks, I was treated with a warm welcome and much generosity and hospitality upon my being hired. As time went on, things took a turn to the unusual. I began to feel like I was crossing a minefield in that office as I didn't know what mood the office manager would be in. He would be charming and humourous on moment, then very grouchy and insulent the next.

Hello, I am in the state of Washington and was wondering if someone can pass down the payday loan laws that abide in this state? I have checked the usury list and such and Washington state does not appear to be on there...so are payday loans completely legal here in this state? I would like to know my rights and how I can fight against these payday loan companies (both online and in-person ones). Any help would be appreciated in finding this info. Thanks!
