I am being contacted by a debt collector for a past due bill that I don't even recall opening( Credit Card) They say that the account was closed in 04. It is now 2012. I asked for an itemization of charges with only a settlement response.. What if anything should I do?

I have a internet payday loan in KY and the fees got to be so much I closed my bank account and opened a new one. I am paying on it but a company from North Carolina keeps calling me at my job threating me that I am going to jail if I don't pay by a certain day. I cannot pay that much at one time. He keeps saying that the sheriff is coming to my job and I am going to jail because I frauded them by closing my account. I don't know what to do. Please help.

I have read through the forum here and determined that Eastside Lenders is in fact an illegal PDL in my state (CA) and I have paid exactly what I borrowed from them ($1000) and my next payment is set to come out next week. Since my loan documents state that it is "consumer loan" does that have any effect on whether or not I can be done with them?

I live in tx. Had a payday loan with pepper cash. One payment bounced back NSF, they never called or tried to rerun it. Now I'm getting calls from unified portfolio services out of NY saying if I don't pay now they will file in my county against me. I asked for documentation and they said they'd provide it when the lawsuit was filed. Do I have options?

I went into Check N Go today to set up the EPP as the first step in getting my situation under control. The only girl working had to call and ask for help doing it and when she hung up said simply "Sorry, these are only for payday loans, not installment loans." I CALLED AHEAD YESTERDAY! I drove 30 minutes out of my way from work on my lunch hour to get it taken care of because she gave me wrong information. She then told me that installment loans have no options, just make your payment.

I sent letters via email to 5 illegal lenders yesterday morning. This morning Plain Green, a tribal based lender, messaged me back. They suggested a plan, I countered and they accepted it. I am paying the principle only, on dates I suggested- and was satisfied. Mambo loans only sent me a reminder of the agreement signed, and a 2nd email with the agreement attached. I resent my original letter at that point. I have yet to hear from National Payday Loans, Kenwood LLC, or Holiday Group LLC. Any experience with these lenders? Not sure what to expect. Thanks!

They told me that it was a $25 fee and $255 would go toward the payment. When i call back to let them know how i want to repay them they told me $255 was the interest and $25 was going toward the prinicipal. WTF!!! Their call are supposed to be recorded but on the day i spoke with th rep the person who records the call was out. Really?!?!?!?!?!??!
