Hello there, I've seen alot of pop up ads on the computer about how to get a free credit report. Does anyone know how i can go about getting one that doesn't involve any scams. I am looking to get one before DCC (debt consolidation care calls, because i just signed up for them to contact me and realize i don't have a credit report. Thank you in advance.

THANKS FOR YOUR ADVICE AND THE CONTACT DETAILS YOU GAVE ME. I AM JUST SO WORRIED THAT IF KUWAIT TRACKED ME DOWN THAT THEY WOULD DEPORT ME OUT OF ENGLAND TO RETURN TO KUWAIT TO PAY DEBTS. BUT IM NOT SURE IF THEY HAVE THE POWER TO DO THAT IF IM A BRITISH CITIZEN. THE KUWAIT GOVERMENT DO HAVE A COPY OF MY MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE THAT HAS MY WIFES POSTAL ADDRESS ON IT, WILL THEY TRY TO USE THAT ADDRESS TO FIND ME. IM JUST SO WORRIED.

I've recieved a summons to appear in court for a pretrial conference (not sure what that's about) but Discover card is suing me through their attorney. I'm almost certain the SOL has passed for this judgement and was thinking of bringing that up in court, but i'm not sure if a credit card debt per florida law would fall under 5yrs or 4 yrs, don't quite understand the oral agreement, promissary note, written agreement or open accounts. if someone can explain this to me please, it would be greatly appreciated. I feel incredibly STUPID!!!!!!!!! I have NO IDEA who this might be and it was in 04/05 but I borrowed 300 and over 600 was deducted from my bank account in the next month by these leeches. Why am I just now noticing? Truthfully I have been playing ostrich for 2 years and NEVER looked. Again I feel STUPID!!!!!!!!!!! Question-If you can help me locate them what can I do? Should I see if my bank can help?

Has anyone done business with them or does anyone have their contact information?

Oh wow..Listen to this one. Ok, first of all, work was rough today. But that's nothing...My bathroom is painted apple green with yellow accessories. I worked really hard on this last year, and it's adorable. Well, here in town they have a place where you can get home stuff like light fixtures, wallpaper, etc for really cheap - it's all donated, leftover stuff from building habitat for humanity homes. Anyway, I found a sink in my shade of yellow...Gorgeous! $4.00. I brought it home and wanted it NOW..Didn't want to wait for my husband to get home and tell me he'd do it this weekend.

Does the SOL apply to the state the debt was originated in or your current state of residency? And is a store credit card considered a revolving debt, a contract, what? I need help!!! Thanks!!

Hello- Nice forum here, glad I found it. Anyway, I received a rather disturbing message on my answering machine from CPS Security claiming legal action was about to start in NH regarding the debt they are trying to collect. When I called the direct number given on the message I was basically screamed at and threatened to be sued for a fraudulent credit card charge if I didn't pay the full balance due immediatley. I then told the man I couldn't and he responded by telling me to do what I gotta do and that they would be filing suit. He then hung up on me.
