i have a few payday loans that i am trying to payoff, but cannot,they have threatned me with check fraud can i go to jail for this? i did not write a hot check? what can i do? i have been reading your forum and i have read that a lot of people have the same problem. i live in texas, should i close my account or tell them to stop calling me, they call me at work and have told me they will garnish my wages.

I was so excited to sign up with T&C. I had trouble with my bank stopping payment on the electronic debits from the payday companies but my counselor told me to get a new account number, which I did this past Friday. I thought that everything would be fine and that I could work with T&C to pay off my payday loans. Now my bank is telling me that they are still going to honor the electronic debits from my old account. I can't close this account completely because this credit union owns both of our vehicles. In a panic this afternoon I took all but $100 out of the account.

Hi there- About 10 years ago a ex took my credit card and charged on, when I found out I contacted the company (citybank), they told me there was nothing I could do. I attemtped to collect the debt from my ex (I remember it being around $2000) and even tried to settle with what citybank what little money I had in savings (like offering $.50 on the dollar). Long story short, I even filed a police report- about the stolen card- disputed it with citybank- and NOTHING has been said/done in over 5 years.

Is it possible for an entity to garnish my grandmother's social security wages to collect the difference not recieved from the sale of her home which they forclosed on? We have heard both yes and no and I would appreciate it if someone could actually direct me to a reference point I may be able to find online to confirm the answer either way as I have yet to find anything. I want to thank :D pollyandsay :D so much for her advice on payday ok.I sent a letter to them letting them know that I have paid them enough,and quoted state law.I received an email today,stating that my balance is paid in full,and they even notified my Consolidation company.I just got the conformation from my Consolidation company. So now I have 2 payday loans paid off and 2 to go!!!!!
