I contacted T&C to consolidate my credit cards and payday loans. I was planning on sending them the 155.00 retainer fee with my paycheck that i received today. I went and closed my bank account yesterday and opened up a new one. I told payroll department that my bank account closed and if i could receive a paper check, they said they already sent the direct deposit thru but they can do a reversal and give me a check when its done. I was thinking that since my bank account is closed, the direct deposit and the payday loan debits wouldnt go through but they all did.

A Check Recovery agency is trying to collect money from me for nsf checks to a local gas station. I haven't been able to pay them yet and they are threatening to prosecute me in 10 days? Can they do that? They are not affiliated w/gas station.

Can you give me any feedback on credit repair companies that are run by law firms. Do you feel they are a good choice or has anyone had any favorable experiences with them?

I looked in the court web page, and the last entry is Execution Issued after the summary judgement. My question is if they are going to garnish my wages do I get notified first and have to amswer, or do they just garnish with no notification to me. State is Florida

I just took the dive and decided to jump in! Just raised a payment to collection agency from $25 to $50 (balance now is $238.00-fingerhut)and another from $50 to $100 (balance is now $552.00-MBNA). Both are with the same collection agency. Phillips and Cohen--one collection is for midland which is fingerhut and the other is for hilco for mbna. I know some people have had problems with phillips and Cohen but I haven't. I am going to concentrate on the smaller one, getting it on out of the way-maybe just pay it in full next month if I can earn enough cc points.
