I have a few bad accounts on my credit report which will be deleted around 2008-2009. However we are looking to buy a house in the next year, and these do have a negitive effect on my credit score. I heard that if I dispute these items, they may be removed from my credit report. In fact I have disputed some items, and they have been removed. HOWEVER, I have disputed one item, and while it was paid off (thru collections) after the dispute the amount owed was put back on ($600). I needed to call the collection agency, and after a long conversation, it was put back to $0.

Hi everyone! Have a quick question. Can I dispute inaccurate dates the actual account was opened on my credit report? Just about all the negative accounts on my report have wrong "date opened" dates on my report that I am almost 100% positive I remember when the accounts were opened. Can I dispute this matter?

Collectors are allowed to call and verify employment BUT that is all!

I have a question. I have a company called PD6/Express Cash. A lady, Sharon Williams (800-859-6439x248) is emailing me and calling me. I had spoken with her months ago and I have paid them off $390 like I agreed with her. Now she is calling and emailing me stating I still owe $390 in fees. I faxed her a debt validation form along with a cease and desist letter requesting proof of my original signed loan along with request for where these fees are coming from. They must have record, right?

Hey! now its me asking for help with a number. I don't have long distance service on my home phone because I have a cell phone that I use for long distance on, so I can't call these people to see who they are. I'm afraid to call on my cell phone, for fear they will start hounding me on my cell phone. So I was hoping someone could help me with finding out who they are. They have called my home. Never go through Clout credit card service. They are really screwing me over, i can sense it. I didn't go over exact numbers yet, but everytime i look at past account records online, the numbers keep going up. I haven't recieved a statement in the mail for months. They drew funds from one of my checking accounts without me authorizing it and said that it was part of the "overlimit plan" but they told me to SEND in the payment by the 1st of Feb.

Aspire Visa dropped all the late fees and over the limit fees and brought my account current. Now I only owe them $879.00 more dollars. Thank goodness for debt consolidation.
